Jim Acho, Gary Klein Obtain $780,000 Settlement for Client in Employment Case
Jim Acho and Gary Klein represented a terminated CFO with a tech company in a racial discrimination case. The client is based in San Francisco, and the tech company is based in Los Angeles. CMDA’s client was fired by a new CEO, and CMDA believed his ouster was discriminatory. The case settled without the necessity of filing a lawsuit. Jim Acho handled negotiations with the company’s general counsel. Jim says “Gary Klein did terrific research and found caselaw on point, as well as complicated financial analysis regarding future bonus calculations, which gave me the ammunition to negotiate.”
While the names of both the client and company are confidential pursuant to the settlement agreement, the client told CMDA “I could not be happier with the work Jim and Gary did representing me. I would recommend them to anybody looking to pursue an employer for wrongful termination. Their tenacity, their communication, their collaborative process with the client is second to none.”
