CMDA Mourns The Loss of Former Client J.R. Richard
If you have visited CMDA partner Jim Acho’s office, you have no doubt seen the framed Houston Astros game jersey on his wall. It was a gift from client J.R. Richard, legendary Houston Astros pitcher who unfortunately lost a short battle with Covid on Friday. Jim was invited to J.R.’s Astros Hall of Fame ceremony in 2019.
Said Jim to Houston sports radio KFNC, “J.R. was a man who dealt with adversity throughout his entire life, from the stroke he suffered at the peak of his career which ended his career prematurely to other personal issues that he fought through and defeated. He was a champion human, a kind individual person with a heart as big as his 6’7 300 pound frame. He will be missed by many.”
