Attorney John Byerly Joins Firm’s Riverside Office
Please join us in welcoming John R. Byerly to the Firm. He has joined CMDA as an attorney in the Firm’s Riverside office where he focuses his practice on public entity defense, insurance defense, civil litigation, and public education law. He has experience managing a diverse caseload of public entity defense actions at the superior court and federal level, including taking the lead on the discovery and investigation process in multiple legal matters. He handles cases from inception through trial, including preparing pleadings, motions, and briefs, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, and handling court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Mr. Byerly has drafted multiple answering briefs in the 9th District Appellate Court. Additionally, he writes briefs for submission to all levels of state and federal courts and performs legal research and writing for all areas of law handled by the Firm.
He is a member of the State Bar of California and the Riverside County Bar Association. John received a Juris Doctor degree from UC Davis School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from San Francisco State University.
