Katie Stearns Selected as WLAM’s Member of the Month
Please join us in congratulating Katie Stearns on being selected as December’s Member of the Month by the Women Lawyers Associtation of Michigan (WLAM). An attorney in our Livonia office, Ms. Stearns has been an active member of WLAM since graduating from law school. “I have always been amazed at how willing WLAM members are to mentor young attorneys. This mentorship has been absolutely invaluable to me. I became a part of the Wayne Region Board to help carry on this tradition of guiding young attorneys and supporting fellow women lawyers,” she explains. Ms. Stearns currently serves as their Director of Programming and is responsible for organizing networking events, legal educational seminars, and fundraising opportunities for organizations that serve women and families.
The stated purpose of the WLAM- Wayne Region is to secure the rights of women in society and advance the interests of women members of the legal profession, to promote improvements in the administration of justice, to promote equality and social justice for all people, to improve relations between the legal profession and the public, and to encourage the continued legal education of lawyers. The organization strives to provide members and non-members alike with resources and opportunities to better themselves and the community.
Ms. Stearns focuses her practice on commercial litigation, collection, and general litigation matters. She may be reached at (734) 261-2400 or kstearns@cmda-law.com.
