Three Attorneys Join Firm

We are very pleased to announce that three attorneys have recently joined our Firm.

David Kowalski is an attorney in our Clinton Township office where he focuses his practice on insurance defense, municipal law, appeals and litigation, and research.

He has extensive litigation and appellate experience and has received favorable outcomes for clients before the Michigan Supreme Court and the Michigan Court of Appeals. He authors briefs for submission to all levels of state and federal courts, argues cases in the state and federal court of appeals, and performs research for all areas of law handled by the Firm.

Previously, he practiced extensively in No-Fault, insurance coverage, and medical malpractice litigation. He is the co-author of several Law Review articles on Michigan insurance law.

Mr. Kowalski is a member of State Bar of Michigan Insurance and Indemnity section. He received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan.

James (Jimmy) Harris is an attorney in our Riverside office where he focuses his practice on public entity defense, employment and labor law, and premises liability.

Mr. Harris was previously a sole practitioner in the San Diego area. He is fluent in American Sign Language and Spanish and has represented children with varying disabilities with a focus on Deaf and hard of hearing families and also Spanish speaking families. He has been involved in teaching and helping the Deaf Community in Southern California through community education information sessions.

Mr. Harris is a member of the State Bar of California. He received a Juris Doctor degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, San Diego and a Bachelor of Science degree from Dixie State University, Saint George, Utah.

Joshua Cervantes is an attorney in our Kansas City office where he focuses his practice on insurance defense, municipal law, and business law.

He is a Kansas City native. His passion for the legal profession is seen in his strong work ethic and his immersion in understanding the complex personal, business, and legal issues of his clients. Clients rely on him to analyze issues and develop a strategic approach to representation based on their immediate and long-term goals.

Mr. Cervantes is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, American Bar Association, Integrated Youth & Family Services Committee, Hispanic National Bar Association, and Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Greater Kansas City. He received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kansas.
