Teneil A. Russell

Overview

Teneil A. Russell is an attorney in our Livonia office where she focuses her practice on insurance defense matters, including third-party auto claims, first-party no-fault claims, and uninsured motorist claims. Additionally, she assists clients with matters involving insurance coverage, general liability, personal injury protection (PIP), and bodily injury. She conducts research and analyzes cases, assists with preparing legal documents, conducts legal analysis, reviews files, manages support documentation, and assists attorneys with depositions and trials.

Prior to becoming an attorney in November 2025, Ms. Russell clerked at the Firm since September 2023. She received an American Juris Doctor degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, cum laude, and a Canadian Juris Doctor degree from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law. She was enrolled in the Dual JD program, which is a rigorous course of study where courses are taught in a comparative format that exposes students to both countries’ laws simultaneously. She is currently admitted to practice law in Michigan and is awaiting results from the Ontario Bar exam.

While in law school, she was a member of the Black Law Students Association of Canada as a 1L dual representative and vice president of communications and an OUTLaws 1L dual representative. Additionally, she participated in the G. Mennen Williams Oral Advocacy Tournament and the Windsor Law Moot Court Competition. In May 2024 she was awarded the Law School Endowed Scholarship.
