Daniel El-Sibai

Mr. El-Sibai advises business clients on the legal issues that most directly affect growth, operations, and long-term stability. His business law practice includes corporate and commercial litigation, contract disputes, collections and recovery strategy, entity structuring, ownership and shareholder matters, mergers and acquisitions support, business succession planning, and secured and commercial transactions. He also drafts and negotiates key business and employment agreements and works closely with clients to provide practical, business-minded guidance in both contentious and non-contentious matters.

His litigation practice is equally grounded in the defense of insurers, insureds, utilities, municipalities, and law-enforcement-related clients. In insurance defense matters, he handles claims from inception through resolution, developing early strategy, managing discovery, preparing and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, evaluating exposure, and working toward favorable resolutions. In the utility and municipal space, he represents clients in matters involving infrastructure disputes, property damage claims, statutory liability issues, tort claims, constitutional claims, and other complex litigation, with a focus on building strong factual records and advancing effective, dispositive legal arguments.

Mr. El-Sibai earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where he graduated near the top of his class, served in student leadership roles, and distinguished himself academically through multiple CALI Book Awards and teaching assistant positions.
