Overview
Meigs Day focuses his practice on insurance defense and municipal law. He has experience defending and evaluating claims in nearly all areas of insurance law, including property and casualty, third-party auto negligence, subrogation, professional errors and omissions, excess and reinsurance, life, health and accident coverage, and environmental. He works out of both our Grand Rapids and Traverse City office locations.
He has earned a reputation as a formidable adversary in policy disputes, liability actions, subrogation cases, and in litigation involving difficult and complex legal issues. Mr. Day has litigated numerous cases involving liability defense claims, professional errors and omissions cases, arson cases, fraud, and other coverage issues.
He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors, from Michigan State University in 1981 and a Juris Doctor degree from University of Michigan Law School in 1984.
