Sexual Harassment and Retaliation in the Workplace (Superior Court of California, County of San Bernardino)
Plaintiff and her minor child sued a school district and one of its Principals over allegations of sexual harassment, retaliation, stalking, false imprisonment, and violations of the Bane Act.   After a contentious 8 week jury trial the jury awarded the school district a defense verdict

Wrongful Death (Superior Court of California, County of San Bernardino)
Plaintiffs were the surviving family of a fatal motorcycle accident.  Mr. Miller sued the driver and the entities responsible for a dangerous condition at an intersection that was under construction.  After taking the other driver’s deposition the defendants settled for over $4.8 million.

Premises Liability (Superior Court of California, County of Orange)
A plaintiff sued after tripping over a hole in grass while employed by another entity that was using this CMDA client’s property.  Mr. Miller cross-complained against the plaintiff’s employer who had an indemnity agreement with this CMDA client.  After the trial judge denied Mr. Miller’s motion for summary judgment, Mr. Miller appealed to the Fourth District Court of Appeals where the appellate court overturned the trial court’s decision.  Eventually the cross defendant agreed to pay all attorney fees and costs for defending the action.

Premises Liability (Superior Court of California, County of San Bernardino)
Plaintiff sued a CMDA client after tripping and fracturing her hip on the sidewalk outside the client’s property.  Mr. Miller won a motion for summary judgment, eliminating the need to go to trial.
