Thomas Mortimer, Jr. is an Of Counsel attorney in our Riverside, CA office where he focuses his practice on civil litigation, personal injury defense, products liability, and insurance law. He is engaged in the active litigation and representation of business owners, corporations, and partnerships. Further, he has assisted in the handling and litigation of various employment, wrongful termination, business and class action matters, personal injury, premises liability, product liability and complex corporate and business matters on behalf of both Fortune 500 corporations and local employers in in both state and federal court throughout Southern California.
He has tried over 20 cases to verdict as first chair lawyer, the majority of which involved seven to low eight figure sums in controversy. Additionally, Mr. Mortimer has assisted in the trial of 15 other cases to verdict as co-counsel or second chair, including complex cases with significant eight to nine figure sums in controversy on behalf of clients.
He has been engaged in challenging and seeking class certification in major toxic tort and employment actions in California State Courts. He has participated in over 150 mediations and binding arbitrations with the leading mediators and retired Judges in Southern California, and has taken and defended over 230 depositions, including party, complex technical and medical expert and percipient witness depositions.
