John F. Calvin is an Of Counsel attorney in our Livonia office where he concentrates his practice on commercial litigation, community association law, condominium law, construction law and real estate law. He represents clients in litigation, interpretation and enforcement of restrictive covenants and statutory provisions, civil rights, landlord/tenant, bankruptcy, tax foreclosure, contract drafting, review and negotiation, corporate governance, and other real estate and corporate matters.
Mr. Calvin frequently researches legal and administrative issues and prepares memoranda and opinions for directors, officers, and managers. Further, he assists Michigan condominium associations and subdivisions in navigating the often challenging document amendment process. Given the interplay of the Nonprofit Corporation Act and the Condominium Act, including intricacies and nuances related to same, he works closely with Boards of Directors to address any issues that may arise.
