Officer Did Not Violate Plaintiff’s Constitutional Rights

Livonia attorney Karen M. Daley recently obtained a reversal of the denial of summary judgment from the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals on behalf of a local police detective. The Plaintiff alleged that she was illegally arrested without probable cause and that she was unreasonably detained because she was incarcerated for two days.

The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals held that the detective, who was only involved in interrogating the plaintiff after her arrest, did not violate the plaintiff’s constitutional rights. As a result, the federal claims against the detective were dismissed.
